to create a cultur on health prevention where human will learn to protect themselves and develop the abillity to reconcile with the neighbors

Background

Guinee, a country about the size of the county Schleswig Hollstein ( Germany ) with an estimated population of about 9 million people is about resources (gold, diamantes, oil, iron and other minerals) one of the richest countries in the world. But Guinee is one of the most under-developed countries in the world. Over 90% of the citizens are real poor. Garbage all over, less hygiene, simplest foot, let them often fell in sickness. One of the main reasons for the high rate of illness and death is that people are unaware of basic measures they can take to prevent infection and themselves and their children. Most of the population knows very little about health prevention. The rate of youth which use drugs is huge. Most of youth and children have psychological problems.

They don't have the money to visit a doctor or a hospital. A health system is no existing. The rate of people which have to die about illnesses is one of highest in the world (WHO). For example: from 22 pregnant women dies one. U.S.A. from 2.148 women dies one. Europe from 2.278 women dies one (WHO).

In the last fifteen month till today we walk with big bags (medicine and chirurgic equipment inside) to the slums in and around Cronakry to treat the poor people. Our experience, doctors and hospitals don't treat without payment. Please see attached copy of a News Paper article. Neither the government nor another institution supports this group of population. No health without money! The actually situation is dangerous for the social peace and the small ongoing democracy in this country.. The German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, Inventor of the social legislation in 1883. He was firmly convinced that a health, accident, old age insurance law could solve many social problems and protect the social peace.

Objective

The Community Health Care, Prevention and Capacity Building Program is designed with the following objectives:

· To provide an opportunity for poor sick people which don't have money to visit a doctor or a hospital to find help in their stressful situation.

· To help reduce the high rate of death, and help build a society in which nobody have to be scare to find professionally help if he is sick.

· To promote health prevention, means knowledge of basic hygiene and promotion of health (what people can do themselves to remain healthy and treat small ailments)

Target population
The target population of this project is less fortunate in rural communities in Guinee. Particularly poor people lack the opportunity to medical facilities.

Strategic Approach

The volume of sick people which need help in Guinee is huge. For Phase 1 of this project, we would like to start with two mobile medical centers. In Phase two we start with the construction of one hospital around Cronakry. Only for poor people, all services free of charge.

Activities

Ø AAGUIMEP will acquire two large vans (to use as mobile medical centers).

Ø AAGUIMEP will visit (with the mobile medical centers) day in day out poor areas in and around Cronakry to treat poor people free of charge including medicine. We will give every visitor a timetable of the mobile medical centers. RTV Guinee publishes the timetable of the day after the 8 o'clock a.m. news.

Ø We provide counseling services to those people in need help them find solutions to some of their health, social, and other stressful situations. Psychotherapy is one part

Ø We will acquire 2 (two) acre of land space for the construction of the hospital.

Ø AAGUIMEP will construct a hospital for 40 (forty) stationary patients with full services including chirurgic, radiography. All services free of charge. At first in the social burning point Cronakry. Later on in selected villages.

Project Duration

The project duration is 20 years. It may also depend on adequacy of founding.

Monitoring and Evaluation

The donor(s) and AAGUIMEP may undertake a series of observations to monitor and evaluate the level of progress achieved. The investigator may recommend necessary changes.

Report

A time line shall be drawn, from which the reporting period shall be determined. All reports on inputs, activities, and outcomes, shall be submitted to the donor.

Conclusion

To make the shift toward health capacity building, such as education among other things should be considered. To promote human heals security, the root causes of conflict must be addressed. The wide spread ignorance is one off such causes in our society today.

This program is a strategic way in strengthening the small ongoing democracy efforts by the government of Guinee. There can be no sustainable development without prevention and protection of health for everyone. Treatment opportunities must be decentralized to include the poor indigenous population.
